The purpose of the exam is to demonstrate an understanding of the fundamentals of networking, which are the basis of a successful career in any field. The exam covers the theory of routing, switching, routing protocols, and the OSI model.
This app provides a free, interactive CCNA learning experience that uses a series of practice questions to give you an understanding of the concepts covered in the exam. The questions are grouped into four categories:
Routing: The basics of routing, including route distribution, routing protocols, and routing rules.
Switching: Switching is the process of connecting one network element to another, so you need to be able to configure a switch, select the interface on which you want to receive the data, configure the switch, and reactivate the switch. You need to know the difference between the active and the standby mode of a switch and how to switch between them. You also need to know the characteristics of the ethernet, broadband, and wireless interfaces.
